Alt-pop superstar Melanie Martinez and her Trilogy tour brought an unmatchable amount of creativity to the Target Center on Tuesday, June 11. Playing to a packed house, the singer made her way through most of her discography in a celebration of each era of her career, from Cry Baby to Portals. With a tour that felt a lot like a victory lap, Martinez showcased her growth, evolution, and impact, once again proving (not that she needed to) why she’s one to keep your eyes, and ears, on within the pop music landscape. The grandiose Trilogy tour, which ends in Detroit tomorrow, brought fans together in packed arenas to reminisce with all of their favorite songs while effortlessly drummed up anticipation for what the future holds for the singer.
