American singer and songwriter Ashnikko captivated the audience at St. Paul’s Palace Theater this past Tuesday evening, March 31st. Her ‘Smoochies Tour’ was a whirlwind of energy, combining elements of chaos and unexpected emotion all at once. It was truly a night to remember. The best way to describe the Smoochies experience is that it felt like leaping off a cliff and bravely entering a realm crafted by Ashnikko herself. A mix of disorder and sparkle, this celebration of her second album in Minnesota was nothing short of a fever dream. The setlist, featuring 25 songs that included most of her latest album, Smoochies, such as “Microplastics,” “She’s So Pretty,” and “Trinkets” alongside fan favorites from her previous releases, like “Daisy,” and “Slumber Party,” had the audience fully engaged, screaming, crying, and completely losing themselves in the moment.
